“Why are you unhappy? Because 99.9 percent of everything you think, and of everything you do, is for yourself—and there isn’t one.” ― Wei Wu Wei
It’s certainly the case that, in later life, we come to see that so much of what we took for granted turns out to be false.
And yet, and here’s the kicker, we do nothing to address the situation.
In truth, there’s nothing to overcome. If anything, we need to look within and examine our assumptions, our supposed truth and, most of all, the social conditioning we took as read.
Some people do, but cry foul as soon as they pierce the veil, knowing, most likely, that they’ll then have to confront a life wasted.
But what if I told you didn’t need to do anything. I don’t mean to sit still ad infinitum but to examine your own experience and understand or appreciate that beneath all that assumed knowledge and wisdom, you’re already whole — dare I say perfect.
It would be nice to think there’s a process but there isn’t. There’s just an acknowledgement of what is.
Do that and see what reveals itself.
