“Life is a series of events and sensations. Everything else is interpretation. Much is lost in translation and added in assumption/projection.” ― Rasheed Ogunlaru
Little did I know that one short talk would make the apparent me see through my cloud of knowing.
What do I mean?
I’ve known that thoughts, feelings, emotions and beliefs were not me — not in the sense of self-identity or anything else — but I’d lost touch with my experience of everything and no-thing.
I know, you haven’t a clue what I’m talking about, but it’s quite simple.
There is only this. All this. Everything else is an illusion including our thoughts which for so many people keep them trapped inside their head.
All this. Everything else is an illusion including our thoughts, which for so many people keep them trapped inside their head.
Oh sure, I’m still ill at ease in talking about a non-dual world (which is an oxymoron) but everything now feels different if only because I realise that my me, my ego and my feelings are all part of the primordial soup that we keep fighting against.
A refinement of my work?
But actually none of that’s relevant.
It’s just about accepting the essence of awareness, namely I’m it and it’s me.
PS. If you want to know how this all started then I’d recommend you read the Heart Sutra. The words “Form is emptiness; Emptiness is form” is as relevant when I first read it as it is to this (apparent) day.
